Why Hike Lamarck Lakes
This short strenuous hike climbs a series of glacier carved benches to two photogenic lakes. The lakes are nestled in rugged granite basins surrounded by sheer cliffs and framed by serrated ridges and jagged peaks. Beyond the upper lake a use trail/route leads to Lamarck Col, which provides backpacker’s access to the Darwin Bench and Evolution Valley.
